When Facebook Leads to Murder

Facebook fun took a turn for the sinister when a British man killed his wife over her Facebook relationship status.
Edward Richardson was just found guilty of murdering his wife, Sarah Richardson, in May. His motive?
Sarah had changed her marital status to ‘single.’
That public declaration enraged Edward and he went to see her after she wouldn’t respond to his messages. He then broke the window, climbed into the house and stabbed Sarah to death.
This sobering story makes me think twice about all the light-hearted “Facebook stalking” going on. It’s all in fun and mockery when it’s your roommate who can’t hold down a boyfriend or even “complicated” relationship, but it can get scary fast.
