Robert Pattison Calls Faux Gay Sex “Ridiculous”

There are many things I’d categorize as ridiculous: Dan Brown novels, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, cocktail umbrellas. And now Robert Pattison has added something to his list of ridiculousness: the believability of him having gay sex with Javier Beltran.

I’m not sure that many people would be all that incredulous about Pattison having gay sex, but more importantly, doesn’t it seem a bit self-defeating for an actor to call his sex scenes difficult to believe? That’s like a magician saying that it’s ludicrous to believe he actually sawed his magic wench (or whatever you call those half-dressed assistants) into two pieces.

Page Six reports:

In “Little Ashes” embodies Salvador Dali and Robert admits, even he had some trouble with the film’s many sex scenes.

“In a lot of ways, I was kind of crossing lines of what I thought I was comfortable doing. I had to do all this naked stuff,” he says. “There’s all these gay sex scenes. And y’know, I haven’t even done a sex scene with a girl. Here I am, with Javier [Beltran]. And because we’re both straight, what we were doing seemed kind of ridiculous.”

Okay two words, Robbie: Brokeback Mountain. You are an actor. You act. You also aren’t really a vampire trapped in a high school student’s body. And it’s less of a stretch to be a gay artist than a blood-sucking immortal in Forks, Washington. Of course, the really unbelievable thing seems to me to be Pattison’s gravity-defying hair. Then again, I haven’t used hair product since 1999.
