Hello Kitty Weddings: Goodbye to Good Taste?

Hello Kitty Wedding

Today Entertainment Weekly named tackyweddings.com its site of the day causing me to waste hours of my life I’ll never get back peruse the blog. You’ll find the usual terrible bridesmaid dresses and Goth-bride-in-a-coffin pictures, but what really caught my eye was the prevalence of Hello Kitty nuptials.

I erroneously thought Hello Kitty was so sixth grade, but when I saw a creepy shirtless man wearing a black Hello Kitty head selling MAC makeup in Bloomingdales a few weeks ago I was sadly proven very wrong. Even still, I couldn’t imagine Hello Kitty-themed weddings and certainly not ones as elaborate as those featured on the site.
