I’m really into nostalgia, whether it’s following up with the heartthrobs of the past or remembering stars before they went flashing their crotches all over the place. That said, it’s no wonder then that the first thing I thought of when I came across a picture of Mary Kate Olsen recently was the good old days of the whimsical Olsen Twins childhood. They were young and innocent and thought they could sing. They couldn’t, but that didn’t stop them from cranking out adorably off-key song after off-key song.

Now they’ve battled anorexia, gone through an unfortunate sack-wearing phase and went in their own directions, but once they were united in solving any crime before dinner time. That’s not to say that I don’t think they’ve both done really cool things since growing up (I do love me some Elizabeth and James), but I miss the days of their straight-to-home video empire.

Nobody wore coordinated outfits and sang cutesy lyrics quite like Mary Kate and Ashley. Take a look back at some of their best:

You gotta love the Bill Clinton look-a-like. I wouldn’t be surprised if the real Bill had a poster of the Olsens on his wall.
