Whoa: 10 Popular TV Catchphrases of the ’90s

Every generation thinks the TV of their childhood was the best. That being said, TV in the ’90s was great. Many of the sitcoms lasted well into the 2000s and live on every weeknight on a second rate channel that syndicates their reruns. While others stubbornly persist in existing.
When you look back on TV, though, it’s often not the plotlines that stand out to you. The particular gag, conflict and ultimate resolution all blend together, but what stands out are the catchphrases. Perhaps it’s laziness on a writer’s part to use the same line over and over, but it works. The string of words stick with us and compel us to repeat them ad nauseum and annoy everyone around us.
It’s a beautiful thing.
Let us continue that tradition and celebrate the best TV sayings of the decade:
“D’Oh” – Simpsons
“What are we going to do tonight…” – Pinky and the Brain
“How rude!” – Full House
“I’m the baby…gotta love me!” – Dinosaurs
“Whoa” – Blossom
“Fe-fe-fe-feeeeny” – Boy Meets World
“Did I do that?” – Family Matters
“How YOU doin’?” – Friends
“I’m listening” – Frasier
“Oh my God they killed Kenny” – South Park
