Condom Dresses: Ensuring Prom Is a Special AND Safe Night
Prom season is coming up and that means lots of OMGs over hair, dates and the ever important dress for teenage girls. For the parents of teenage girls prom means a different kind of OMG. As in oh my god, please don’t let my innocent daughter get too crazy, too drunk and too down in dirty at the afterparty.
One dress that’s not helping ease worried parents’ fears? This one from Light in the Box:
You might have seen it since the picture has spread across the internet faster than this girl will probably spread her legs. The uproar is over the front of the dress, which some people think resembles the female genitalia. As such, it doesn’t exactly send the message of a nice wholesome night of dinner and dancing. (It should be noted the company has since photoshopped the dress to look less anatomical.)
But if you really want your daughter to head off to college baby-free perhaps you should look for a different kind of dress… a condom dress. You can’t keep her clothes on, but you can keep the idea of safe sex very much with her. A dad actually created the first dress on the list.
