That’s where the Museum of Broken Relationships comes in. The traveling exhibit, started in Croatia, makes art out of your failed love affair. As the website says, take the opportunity to “get rid of controversial objects, triggers of momentarily undesirable emotions, by turning them into museum exhibits.” Talk about cathartic.

Plus, what else are you going to do with that leg prosthesis lying around? (True story, it was donated by a war veteran who fell in love with his physiotherapist.)
