Project Eve: Making Beer Female Friendly

“We are encouraging women to have a choice,” Kristy McCready, MD of BitterSweet Partnership says. “We want to listen to women about what they want, get behind what they want…”
Is that the rallying cry of a pro-choice activist? Nope, just a woman passionate about getting women to drink beer. She’s part of Project Eve, a new multimillion-pound campaign in Britain working towards erasing the man-centric image of beer.
While I’m all for a cold Blue Moon or even a warmed over Bud Light, I’m in the minority. A survey shows that many women in Britain at least find beer to be fattening, manly and complete with unappealing advertising. To combat these obstacles, Project Eve has released studies showing beer isn’t as unhealthy as you think as well as taste tested some more “female friendly” beers.
Good luck converting the masses, Project Eve. When you do, I’ll be right here waiting… beer pong ball in hand.

Hi – Kristy here from BitterSweet in the UK. Just seen your post, thanks for picking up on us and glad you approve of what we’re doing. Over the next few months we’ll be speaking to women to find out what they want from beer, so it would be great to get more feedback from you in the future!
Cheers!
