After listening to “Poker Face” one too many times this weekend, I started thinking about Lady Gaga. And then I started Googling Lady Gaga. And then I became obsessed. Of course, being outrageous is the singer’s schtick, but does she ever tone it down? According to my Googling, not really.

Naturally stars dress ridiculously for the attention and to establish a persona. Furthermore, one person’s ridiculous is another person’s sense of style. However, even the most flashy artists are usually seen dressed like the average earthling every once in a while and I was determined to find these less unbelievable outfits of Lady Gaga.

For the purposes of my project, “least outlandish” means pictures in which Lady Gaga’s crotch and/or boobs are not completely or almost completely exposed, her face isn’t covered in some odd make-up design and her hair doesn’t take the  form of inanimate objects (see above).

View the photos below and you’ll see the extent of my success. (Hint: There’s a reason the list only contains five pictures.)

This is almost matronly for the Lady.

Crazy heavy eye make-up aside, you might actually find this look on other people or at least celebrities.

This ensemble could actually pass for elegant… and not just in strip clubs.

As long as the dress doesn’t creep up anymore, we’re good.

Just ignore the hat…
