Lily Allen and The Celebrities She Disses

Published by under Entertainment

Lily Allen

Everyone’s all up in arms about pseudo-celebrity and constant mess Lily Allen putting down Susan Boyle. But, the thing is, Lily Allen is always criticizing someone. There’s enough trash coming out of Lily’s mouth to fill all the landfills in New Jersey and that’s saying something.

While it might almost be easier to chronicle the people Lily hasn’t badmouthed, it’s just not as fun a read. So, instead, enjoy these famous folks Lily has had the pleasure to talk smack about (not to say some of them didn’t deserve it). Continue Reading »

The Morning Dish: Ten Things Not to Say to a Film Guy

Published by under Morning Dish

Martin

Some guys’ jobs just sound cool — fighter pilot, bodyguard, film dude. Though the latter’s day-to-day may be more mundane than Martin Scorsese’s, it’s easy to be impressed by a film snob, smelly “Clerks” T-shirt notwithstanding.

But if you’ve got the hots for that self-proclaimed auteur (or video editor or key grip), hit mute if you catch yourself uttering these guaranteed thumb-downers

Jessica Biel: Not Too Hot To Sing

Published by under Entertainment

Last week the blogosphere was abuzz with news that Jessica Biel thinks she’s too hot to land good acting roles. Perhaps that’s driven her into a new field. Jessica’s apparently not too hot to sing and does just that in the clip above for the film “Easy Virtue.” Let the judging begin.

The Sponge: Resurrected!

Published by under Entertainment,Relationships

Seinfeld and The Sponge

Back in January, I wondered what had happened to the contraceptive device commemorated in a Seinfeld episode way back in 1995. Elaine’s quest for The Sponge and The Spongeworthy Guy with which to used it reflected the dismay of women everywhere when they found out the spermicide-filled product would be discontinued.

I don’t need to wonder any longer. A recent New York Times article finally answered my plea for more information on this elusive birth control method. Turns out the product has had some rocky times since Elaine lusted after it.

The 5 Least Outlandish Lady Gaga Photos

Published by under Entertainment

Lady Gaga hair

After listening to “Poker Face” one too many times this weekend, I started thinking about Lady Gaga. And then I started Googling Lady Gaga. And then I became obsessed. Of course, being outrageous is the singer’s schtick, but does she ever tone it down? According to my Googling, not really.

Naturally stars dress ridiculously for the attention and to establish a persona. Furthermore, one person’s ridiculous is another person’s sense of style. However, even the most flashy artists are usually seen dressed like the average earthling every once in a while and I was determined to find these less unbelievable outfits of Lady Gaga.

For the purposes of my project, “least outlandish” means pictures in which Lady Gaga’s crotch and/or boobs are not completely or almost completely exposed, her face isn’t covered in some odd make-up design and her hair doesn’t take the  form of inanimate objects (see above).

View the photos below and you’ll see the extent of my success. (Hint: There’s a reason the list only contains five pictures.)

The Morning Dish: 10 Really Bad Ass War Movies

In honor of Memorial Day College Candy would like to give special attention to those movies that actually made them stop the tongue dance and watch the action (on the screen…not under the blanket).

Here’s their (very uninformed) list of the 10 greatest war movies.

The Racktrap Traps Your Money In Your Rack

Published by under Beauty Buzz

 Racktrap four set

Finally, you don’t have to be a stripper to keep your dollar bills in your bra. The Frisky alerted us to the new Racktrap, “a small, flat wallet that fits perfectly inside your bra regardless of your cup size.” Pack all the necessities for a night out, including money, ID and credit cards, without the hassle of a handbag. For just $19,95 for a four-pack, the Racktrap is an easy and cheap way to keep your essentials very close by. Just beware of carrying too much change… that might be hard to explain.

Someecards Wishes You The Best This Memorial Day

Published by under Off the Press

Memorial Day

Although many Americans use today for BBQs and beaching, Memorial Day is an important holiday in the U.S. It’s the day we honor all the fallen soldiers who have so selflessly served our country. That being said, I never know quite how to talk about Memorial Day. Despite the graphic above, saying “Happy Memorial Day” just seems off to me. We’re certainly not happy about soldiers who have died, but we are happy to honor them.

Since I’m at a loss on the right way to send your best wishes on this holiday, I’ll let someecards do it instead. Their inappropriately un-PC slogans should do the trick:
