It’s that time again… Cocktail of the Week. Because let’s be honest, the only thing you really care about on Friday afternoon is how quickly you can get some alcohol pumping through that overworked body. We’re here to help.

Sound the trumpets: Today is National Doughnut Day. This is no peaceful holiday though. Instead, it’s ignited something of a doughnut war between rivals Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme. Dunkin Donuts will be offering a free donut with a purchase of any drink, but Krispy Kreme is giving away the goods with no purchase necessary. Booya!

So what does the duel mean for you? Donuts at your delicious disposal. That being said, with any good donut should come a good cup of coffee. However, starting at 5pm (or 4pm or 3pm…) Friday you should be forgetting about coffee and turning to the hard stuff.

Don’t worry… I’ve got you covered. This is where the Coffee Delight cocktail comes in. So gather up the glazed and chocolate frosted fried goodness and enjoy some fresh roasted liquor.

Coffee Delight

2 parts coffee infused vodka

1 coffee ice cube

1 part vanilla simple syrup

Seltzer

Place the vodka, ice cube and syrup in a cocktail shaker. Give it a shake for about 15 seconds. Pour the liquid into a glass and top it off with a little seltzer to give it some fizz.
