BBC Chronicles How Britney Spears Saves Lives

While Britney Spears’ life has often been a crazy, dangerous rollercoaster, she has been able to better the lives of others. Behind that bubble gum pop there are lyrics that speak to a certain segment of people. A new BBC documentary follows these superfans and reveals how the paparazzi darling has affected them in “Britney Spears Saved My Life.”
There are, in fact, people out there who love Britney for more than her insanely catchy musical froth and her tabloid fodder insanity. And it is actually interesting.
The program tells of a boy who turned to “My Prerogative” to give him the courage to leave the Jehovah’s Witnesses, a girl with an eating disorder who feels that at least Britney is always there for her, and another guy who had “If You Seek Amy” tattooed across his butt. This clip also shows a piece from the documentary in which Britney’s most loyal fans recreate her most memorable music video:
You know, good for these people who were touched by Britney and good for Britney for touching people in a good way and not a chasing-them-with-an-umbrella kind of way.
