5 Guy Trends That Need To Go

I love guys. I have been boy crazy since I was probably 2 years old. I love a guy’s guy that is rugged, strong, and tough. These days there are a ton of metro-sexual guys which is just such a turn off to me. Who wants a guy that spends more time getting ready than you? Or who stares in the mirror more than you? Not me! I am going to share with you the top 5 guy trends that annoy the hell out of me and need to go!
1. Heavage

Most of the time it is sexy when a guy has a few buttons open on his shirt, but no more than that. American Apparel Deep V-Necks that are unisex create cleavage AND heavage. If they must, a guy should ONLY show heavage if his pecs are in good shape and not hairy like Teen Wolf. The heavage trend is over and should stop… NOW! No man boobs please, I’d hope that we would never have to see that. Point being, cleavage is for girls to show… guys stop showing your heavage!
2. Men’s Shapewear

Girls, looks like we don’t have to be embarrassed about our undergarments anymore like Bridget Jones, men wear Spanx too! Apparently it’s been around a few years at least, who would’ve known! I’ve seen those MTV True Life’s when a guy gets a breast reduction and he wore undergarments to hide his breasts. Guys can lose weight so much easier than us… they shouldn’t have to wear shapewear! They even have padded underwear to look like they have a larger tighter ass! OMG!
3. Rhinestone Shirts

I call these douchebag shirts. I own a couple, but I’m a girl, so it’s okay. Guys absolutely should not have rhinestones on their shirts! That trend NEVER should have started. Thanks a lot Ed Hardy and Affliction! I can’t take a guy seriously if there are sparkling jewels on his clothing. I’m sorry, just can’t.
4. Hats Over Eyebrows

This is something that I have been noticing more and more when I go out. I see these buff guys with their baseball hat’s over their eyebrows; they also happen to be wearing douchebag shirts. I don’t get it!! Why would you want to wear your hat over your eyebrows? That is not sexy whatsoever!
5. Guys With Their Eyebrows Waxed

I know we don’t like super bushy eyebrows or uni-brows but when a guy gets his eyebrows waxed and shaped they just look feminine. A guy can be super hot, but if he has shaped eyebrows he goes down abut 4 points in my book. Men should be rugged and tough, not sculpted and girly.

Who are you to say what a man should and shouldn’t be? Women will never get the respect they want from society if they go around qualifying what makes a man a man and what makes a man “not a man.” That’s a pretty small-minded thing to say. You can’t chalk up somebody’s masculinity to their eyebrows. That’s extremely shallow. I’m a 21 year old male, and most of my world is shallow right now, but this post kind of upset me. Perhaps you should be more sensitive to other people. Also, you say things like “we think.” I’m pretty sure this post is geared toward what YOU believe and think. You can’t speak for every woman on the face of the earth, unless you’ve talked to them all. A woman can wear a burlap sack and still be a woman, so why can’t a man wear some jewelry, sport a pair of skinny jeans, or shape his eyebrows? Rugged has NOTHING to do with your appearance. If I decided to become a lumberjack who wears skinny jeans and pink v-necks many people would still consider me to be “rugged.” Expand your horizons. Maybe all the guys YOU mess with fit a particular stereotype.
