Get Minxed… All the Celebs Are Doing It
At a recent LA Lakers game, Hayden Panettiere was seen sporting a new manicure craze. It is called a Minx manicure. Rihanna, Eve, Solange Knowles, Blake Lively, and Beyonce have also been seen wearing this new nail trend. The designs are extremely precise and very eye catching.
You can only get a Minx manicure at a professional nail salon. You can’t buy the supplies and do it at home. It is described as foils wraps which give a much truer metallic finish than nail polishes. Supposedly they are similar to nail stickers that you can get from Sephora or Avon.
The nail color, which can last up to three weeks, can be removed at home by using a blow-dryer, which softens the adhesive, or by soaking in warm water — no polish remover necessary. The great thing about this product is that it’s not nail polish so it won’t chip or peel off.
Minx manicures are available in more than 150 styles, which run the spectrum from solid colors to sparkly metallics, zebra prints, polka dots and plaids, and it appeals in part because it requires no drying time and doesn’t smudge. A Minx manicure can run you about $40-$70. I’m guessing most people wouldn’t be able to get this manicure weekly but maybe it would be best for special occasions.

I know!! How great no chipping?! I have seen it before and it really looks SO cool. In the metallics it literally looks like there is foil on your nails but it’s not trashy at all. I have also seen younger girls in their teens with it on their toe nails and they have leopard designs and multicolor, it is awesome!!
Omg I love the nail job! It’s beautiful! I’m gonna be a manicurist just as soon as I finish my training so I might just have to try this one out myself! I’m going to school for it at Empire Beauty School, it’s so much fun and so interesting! For all you gals out there who don’t believe in your ability to make it big, I’m telling ya GO DO IT! Hey! That is great that you are in training to do nails. You are going to LOVE it! I went after my dream and do hair and makeup now. Best decision I ever made, and YES you can bank! Just don’t be discouraged at first because it does take time to build up a clientele, but you will get there. I wish you luck and I know you will be happy!
