Are You Skinny Enough For Playboy?

Callie is one of my favorites on this season’s Real World. She doesn’t bother me what so ever. She is a really sweet girl and has a really good heart. I was really upset when it was revealed that she has issues with food and her weight. I think ALL girls can relate to that. I know that every so often I am self conscious about my weight, as are other girls. It is normal for us to think that way, especially the way society is today. All of the models are super skinny with their bones sticking out. The episode had a lot to do with fitness and eating.
There has definitely been a lot of uproar from this past episode about Ty being a tool. Everyone was in the kitchen and something came up about Playboy and how Callie’s hair was the right color, and Ty said “you’re not skinny enough for Playboy”. Callie just sat there in silence and didn’t defend herself. Obviously it is difficult to be in Playboy, but for a guy to tell you that you’re not skinny enough is NOT okay. Ty never should have said a comment like that, but he still didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. He felt bad for hurting Callie’s feelings but he just says what he feels.

Sometimes I don’t have a filter either, but saying something about a girl’s weight is never acceptable. Let’s hope that Ty learns from this and doesn’t hurt any other girls in the house. I’m glad he actually apologized to Callie and it seemed like he really meant it. The girls were all there for Callie through this stab at her and it was later revealed that her self consciousness stemmed from her mother being so hard on her growing up.

On the last episode we knew something was clearly going on with Ty and Emily. We find out that they did indeed bang. That was a bit quick! Emily is like the guy in the situation and doesn’t want anything serious and wants to be free to do what she wants. Ty happens to be a stage 5 clinger. He really likes Emily, he even calls his ex and tells her that he slept with a girl in the house. I can understand that Emily doesn’t want anything serious with Ty, but she is leading him on. After his phone call with his ex Emily and Ty went to the gym together and boxed. They act like a couple, and she is just toying with his emotions.

That night they go out to a bar and Emily is flirting and dancing with another guy who happens to be black. He was not attractive what so ever but Ty was clearly jealous and even pulled Emily aside. When they got home he said something along the lines of “how were all the black guys at the bar?” This starts fighting between the two of them, which then turns into a wrestling match and eventually ends with Emily spitting in Ty’s face and the roommates having to intervene and separate the two.

That was really gross and un-ladylike of Emily to spit in Ty’s face. Obviously we know that Ty is super vulnerable which is a huge turn off to Emily. After their ridiculous fight they calm down and go outside where Ty apologizes for being jealous. Ty really likes Emily and as a result he is being really overbearing and manipulative. He needs to chill out. The best part is, in the morning, they barely remember what happened the night before.
Ty seems to be apologizing a lot lately. I think he is going to be a loose cannon and there will definitely be a lot of drama involving him this season.

The day after the Playboy incident all of the girls go to a Latin dance class. They all let loose and have a great time working up a sweat and being silly. I am glad that the girls are bonding. I still greatly dislike Ashley but she wasn’t as involved in this episode other than butting into other people’s conversations, but that’s a given. I really like Callie and she is beautiful and I wish she wasn’t so hard on herself.
I am curious to see what is going to come of Emily and Ty. Also, the scenes for next week’s episode shows Mike and Ashley fighting. He finally tells her whats up. I am very excited to see that.
