Reasons Why I Hate Bathroom Attendants

I really hate having to deal with bathroom attendants. They make you feel so uncomfortable. Like we really need someone to pump our soap and rip a paper towel for us? NO! It really bothers me when there is absolutely no avoiding the situation. Especially at a bar that isn’t even super upscale. There is no need.
You feel like a bitch no matter what. Either the girls in line are grilling you because you let this poor woman off the street pump you soap and rip you a paper towel and then not tip her. Or you don’t wash your hands and your hands are dirty for the whole night. It is a lose lose situation. Their perfumes and hair sprays are always the lowest quality and I have never seen anyone use them. Also, if girls need gum or a tampon there should be a dispensary machine instead of a poor woman in there trying to sell them to you.
The worst is one time I saw an attendant put her money away and then leave a dollar on the top to pretend that she hasn’t gotten tips for the night making you feel even worse. I have seen it, so now I don’t feel as bad not tipping them for a professional soap pump.
There is no privacy and it’s super weird when you’re in there alone with her. It is uncomfortable to walk in there and not talk to the attendant becaues most of the time they are drunk or on some type of drug so I can’t even hold a conversation with them. They’re normally passed out in their chair.
This guy was passed out at a bar bathroom the other night for at least an hour. He was sitting on a stool holding the men’s room door open. I don’t know how they sleep sitting up and on a stool with no back and nothing supporting you. Definitely have to be on some kind of mind altering drug, right? See the picture after the jump.

I once didn’t have my bag with me and told the attendant that I would give her a tip later on and she gave me the nastiest look and shook her head.
Ugh, how uncomfortable does that make you? I just hate it. We don’t need someone to pass us a paper towel and then grill us!
It might be uncomfortable, but it is still a job. They shouldn’t be fired because you feel bad when you don’t tip them. I’m sure they don’t enjoy it all that much either, but it’s work
