Lil’ Wayne Needs His Teeth Operated On So His Prison Date Was Pushed Back… Really?
Lil Wayne was supposed to start his one year prison sentence yesterday February 9, 2010. He was awarded three more weeks of freedom. His sentencing was postponed until after he completes a series of dental surgery procedures.
Justice Charles Soloman agreed to delay the punishment after Wayne’s lawyer, Stacey Richman, requested extra time so the rapper could go ahead with an operation on his teeth scheduled for Friday (12Feb10) – and have time to recover.
Richman claimed Wayne had planned to complete the surgery prior to Tuesday, but his dentist had been away from his office in Miami, Florida, where the star lives.
Soloman set his sentencing for 2 March (10) but warned it would not be pushed back any further.
Speaking after the brief hearing, Richman declined to specify the nature of her client’s surgery, but said, “It is a medical situation that… has to be addressed.”

Maybe he needs his gold and platinum diamond studded crowns taken out before he goes to prison or something even more ridiculous than that. I’m assuming I am right considering the only way to remove the gems on his teeth is through surgery. What an obnoxious display of hip-hop wealth… That must be why his lawyer doesn’t want to specify the nature of the surgery. He would get killed for those teeth in jail! What a real medical situation that would be…
Hip Hop artist Lil Wayne had some dental work done early in 2009 (March to be exact), to the tune of $150,000 in diamonds. The multi-platinum artist is now obsessed with brushing his teeth, and is extremely careful with what he’ll put in front of his six figure grill. The gems can only be removed through surgery, but suffice to say popcorn is no longer on the menu in the Wayne household.
Only a rapper or celebrity would be able to have their jail date pushed back because of teeth surgery. Wow… what kind of world do we live in people? And who gets diamonds on their teeth? Really?
