On last night’s episode of Real World D.C. Mike had his first date with Eric.  I think they are cute together and can definitely learn a lot from one another.  Mike says he is bi but he is so incredibly awkward around girls that he really just seems gay.  It must be tough to come out and feel comfortable with your sexuality.  He is insecure and hopefully he doesn’t end up hurting Eric because Eric really seems like a good guy.

Erika hasn’t been shown at all really until this episode.  She talks about her depression to the girls and how she wanted to kill herself at one point but her parents saved her with their love.  Of course when the spot light is on anyone other than Ashley, she needs to steal it back.  Everything has to be about Ashley.  The roommates all want to spend the day together and Ashley wants to go on a touristy tour and Erika just wants to shop.

They decide to go shopping and Erika really acts like an immature baby the whole time.  They want to stop and get food and that’s a problem because they are supposed to be shopping.  Erika didn’t seem that bad but now that they show her, I see why they haven’t in the past.  She is overly sensitive and it is painful to watch her and Ashley together.

They all went to play laser-tag which looked like SO much fun.  Before they went Ashley was on the phone with her friend an Erika went in and needed to use the phone to call cabs.  Of course they had a fight and it was just ridiculous.  Ashley is a bitch and calls Erika a spoiled brat.  It pretty much sounded like Ashley was talking about herself when she was trying to put down Erika.  I can’t stand Ashley still, since day one, and after this episode I hate her even more.  She is the worst.

Just because she had a shitty childhood doesn’t mean that she has to hate the world.  She is so negative and she doesn’t see it at all.  She thinks it is everyone else.  I hate how she tells Erika to just go home if she doesn’t want to be there.  Someone needs to scream go home at her!

Mike brought Eric out with all the roommates and decided to dance and talk with girls.  It looks so weird and unnatural when he is talking with girls.  He is meant to be with guys and he needs to just deal with that.  Eric is annoyed because Mike says he is bi and that he may make out with a random girl when he goes out and doesn’t understand why it’s not okay.  Eric has every right to be pissed off but he really needs to think about where he was at 22 when he was just getting comfortably with his sexuality.  Eric said that he can’t compete with girls, which is true and he shouldn’t have to.  I really think that Mike is gay and just isn’t ready yet to come out completely.

I hope that Mike doesn’t end up screwing over Eric, I really think they are going to learn a ton from each other.
