Ugh, Paula Abdul Is Coming Back To Haunt Us

Straight up now tell me, do you really wanna see Paula Abdul on her own TV show? Former American idol judge, Paula Abdul, is following in the footsteps of talk show queen Oprah. She is now going to have her own television series. She left her last job as a judge on American Idol in August 2009 following an alleged pay dispute. We all know Ellen DeGeneres has replaced her. Weird, but okay.
Paula will be taping a one-hour pilot episode for Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Paula’s new show is going to be similar to Oprah’s in the fact that she is going to have celebrity guests and people telling inspirational stories. Really? We need another one of those talk show? Didn’t Tyra Banks try that?
In the meantime, Paula continues to fuel rumors that she is going to rejoin American Idol colleague Simon Cowell as a panelist on the U.S. version of his British talent show The X Factor. I don’t see that happening, don’t they hate each other? Also, who wants to see her clap like a seal again?
Last week, Abdul told reporters:
“I’m going back to my roots and doing a TV show that has something to do with my roots. I knew that I would not be able to say certain things. I want to be able to say everything right now, but I can’t.”
But Abdul insists she can handle more than one TV spot. She tells the National Enquirer, “If Ellen DeGeneres can do it…so can I!”
Right, good comparison Paula. You and Ellen are like night and day.
