I’m sure most of you already know by now, but Ms. Bigelow basically kicked her ex husband’s ass last night at the Oscars.

The big winner at the 82nd Academy Awards was not the man whose blue aliens have made $2.5 billion worldwide but Kathryn Bigelow, the director of “The Hurt Locker,” which beat out “Avatar” for Best Picture and Best Directing.

But it’s not only that. I have to say, didn’t Bigelow look pretty good? She’s kind of attractive for a best director. Most women directors aren’t exactly pleasing to the eyes and Bigelow will make a fantastic poster child for aspiring women directors out there.

I mean seriously.  The woman is nearly 60 years old.  Yes, almost 60.  I’m surprised no one mentioned this yesterday.   She easily passes for mid 40s cougar.

Anyway, congrats to Bigelow and hopefully great new films to come.
