CrystalMeth mess

A couple of serious scumbags were caught making crystal meth driving in an SUV. A Wal-Mart customer saw something strange going on in the parking lot in an SUV and called the police to check it out.

Conyers Police Captain Scott Freeman tells WSB an officer caught up with the vehicle on Old Covington Highway, noticed that the two inside may be under the influence and called for a drug dog.

“The dog that he had alerted on the vehicle for drugs. A subsequent search of that vehicle revealed several different containers which the officers recognized – it was a rolling meth lab. They were actually in the process of making some meth at the time of the stop,” said Freeman.

The man and woman, both with outstanding warrants, one for vehicle theft, the other for a probation violation, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

My God, what is wrong with people? Out in public, in your car? That can’t be very safe… driving and making meth at the same time. Wow, these people are smart ones… Meth is disgusting and watching Intervention of meth addicts is disturbing. I don’t understand what the hell draws people to the drug. Isn’t that stuff they keep behind the counter at the pharmacy used to make meth? Wouldn’t that be cheaper for these drug maker’s clients anyway. Making meth in front of a super saver store, not well thought out.

The only drugs I can personally understand people liking are alcohol, anti-anxiety drugs, and mary-jane. I can’t imagine taking speed and becoming paranoid and hearing voices… how the hell is that fun?  I guess that is why I am crystal meth free… not something I’m curious to try.  But at the same time there is a crystal meth epidemic in America…  Am I wrong about this, or am I totally right that anyone who uses meth is scum of the Earth?

Methamphetamine is made mostly from common household ingredients.  When these ingredients are mixed and cooked together, they make a dangerous drug and potentially harmful chemical residues can remain on household surfaces for months or years after cooking has been completed.  There may be serious health effects associated with these chemical exposures before, during and after the drug-making process.

Crystal meth is made by “cooking” pseudo ephedrine with a variety of chemicals which are readily found at hardware stores, such as red phosphorous, iodine, ammonia, paint thinner and lithium from batteries.

Weapons are very common in meth labs. People who use meth are very paranoid about everything. They are worried that they will be caught by the police and will use any means to not get caught.

Here is a list of how to spot a meth lab. There are signs of meth manufacturing inside and outside of a house:
1. Strong smell of urine, or unusual chemical odors such as ammonia or acetone.
2. Windows blacked-out, traffic at odd hours, people going outside to smoke.
3. Signs of chemical burns and spills – dark red phosphorous stains in the sinks, toilets or bathtubs, or red staining on the interior walls, counter-tops and flooring.
4. Visible areas in the yard where chemicals have been dumped, or burn pits with chemical container remains, dead or dying vegetation.
5. Packaging or containers from large quantities of cold medicines.
6. Jars containing clear liquid with a white or red-colored solid on the bottom, jars with shiny metallic purple crystals inside, bottles or jars with rubber tubing attached.
7. Glass cookware or frying pans containing a powdery residue.
8. Coffee filters unused and used with red stains, white paste or small amounts of shiny white crystals in them.
9. Soft silver or gray metallic ribbon (in chunk form) stored in oil or Kerosene.
10. Propane tanks with fittings that have turned blue or green.
11. Excessive trash with large amounts of the following: alcohol, benzene, toluene/paint thinner, Freon, acetone, chloroform, camp stove fuel, starter fluid, anti-freeze, anhydrous ammonia, Heet, white gasoline, phenyl-2-propane, phenyl acetone, phenyl propanolamine, iodine crystals, red phosphorous, black iodine, lye, Drano, muriatic or hydrochloric acid, battery acid or sulphuric acid, Epsom salts, batteries/lithium, sodium metal, wooden matches, propane cylinders, hot plates, ephedrine, pseudo-ephedrine, cold tablets, bronchodilators, energy boosters, rock salt, diet aids
