Kelis got a really expensive weave last May at a fancy salon in Santa Monica. According to legal documents, Kelis’ stylist never got her money.
Yesterday (3/29/2010) was the trial between Kelis and the hairstylist that she stiffed. Kelis didn’t show up… so the judge entered a default judgment for the full amount in the stylist’s favor. There is no word if Kelis will ask for an extension from the court or not.

I’m sorry, but if someone wanted to charge me $5,000 for that hair I wouldn’t pay either.  The funny thing is… that is probably EXACTLY what she wanted, so what a stupid bitch for not paying up.
