Joe Simpson, father and manager of Jessica & Ashlee Simpson, says that his daughters never really fell off the deep end like other Hollywood starlets because they came from a “real family“.  I actually happen to agree completely with him.  When you come from a family with good values, shows love and concern and care about each other, it makes a huge difference.

Joe – who is still married to Jessica and Ashlee’s mother Tina – said in an interview with Fox News: “We have a real family. You can’t just put these kids out in the world and they’re on their own. I can remember a time when Jessica was singing at Madison Square Garden and her outfit ripped before she went on. We were there for her.”

Even when Jessica married Nick Lachey, she never had bad stuff going around about her, other than the fact that she was a ditz. Joe blames 50% of the break up on the media.  They were also SO young.

These girls have kept up good reputations throughout the years and I’m sure being a parent in Hollywood has got to be difficult. I mean, look at Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. I’m sure they have caused their parents a TON of embarrassment.
