Easy, Breezy, Beautiful… Taylor Swift.  I think Covergirl cosmetics has definitely made a smart move by having Taylor Swift as the new face of Covergirl.

She will be following a long line of entertainers turned CoverGirl models, like Drew Barrymore, Queen Latifah, Ellen DeGeneres and Rihanna when the ads hit next January for a new brand of luxury products.

“I am so excited to become the next CoverGirl,” Swift said in a statement. “I have admired many of the CoverGirls since I was a little girl . . . great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves. It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of CoverGirl.”

I think Taylor is a great candidate for the next face of Covergirl. I think she is a great role model to young girls. She is 20-years-old and she’s so completely different than other girls in the spotlight that are her age. She has her stuff together and she hasn’t gone off the deep-end with drinking or drugs… or ended up in rehab.

“With her fresh beauty and authentic style, Taylor is a wonderful addition to the CoverGirl family,” explained Vince Hudson, general manager of CoverGirl Cosmetics. “Through all her success, Taylor remains a grounded and sincere woman who connects with fans everywhere by being true to who she is. She personifies the iconic image of the brand while representing the next generation of both inner and outer beauty.”

I totally agree and I can’t wait to see more of Taylor in the future. She is so incredibly beautiful and talented. I love her!
