Whitney Port Talks About Her Clothing Line… Whitney Eve

Whitney Port from MTV’s The City, has followed her dream and worked her way up at People’s Revolution with Kelly Cutrone and has now designed her own clothing line. It is a thousand million times better than Lauren Conrad’s line and Heidi Montag’s, if hers is even still around. I have to say I went into Kohls to check out LC’s clothes and I couldn’t believe she put her name on that crap.

Check out Whitney’s fashion show and what she has to say about fashion from coast to coast after the jump!

Anyway, Whitney’s fashion show was extremely successful, we saw on The City last Monday (4/26/2010). She used beautiful fabrics and silhouettes and she just has a special eye for fashion.

The paparazzi followed her every move Thursday (5/6/2010) as she chowed down on some cereal out of a red dixie cup.  The girl seems so down to earth it is unreal.  Who doesn’t love cereal out of a cup??

Whitney was recently asked by Stylelist about her inspiration behind the fall season of Whitney Eve, to which she replied, “I combined my Los Angeles aesthetic and my New York aesthetic. I wanted to keep femininity, but mix it with a New York, streety edge. I played a lot with textures and classic silhouettes. There’s a lot of sparkle and a lot of sequins – she’s a glamorous rock-and-roll chick.”

Also offering her thoughts on the difference between east and west coast style, Miss Port dished, “I think it’s a lot more fashion forward here. Whereas New York is trendsetting, LA is trendy. New York is such a melting pot of cultures. Style is influenced by the world here, as opposed to the beachy vibe you get in Los Angeles.”

I am happy to hear her thoughts on fashion from the East coast to the West coast. I definitely agree with her. Pretty much anything goes in NYC and it is extremely trendsetting. LA is full of beachy blonds who just wear designer clothing, but the real fashion capital is NYC.

I love Whitney from watching her on MTV and I really do think that her line is going to pick up and be huge! I would wear everything that went down that runway of hers!  Did you see that silver sequin dress with gold metallic jacket?  I want that!!
