The hat can do many things: Show off your sports allegiance, keep you warm and cover up a really horrible hair day. But for some it can also be a way to prove just how daring you are when it comes to high fashion.

Lately, we’ve seen celebrities wearing some pretty out there headgear. But, as hat-wearer Paris Hilton would say, are these hats hot? Or just plain heinous? It’s amazing what you can call fashion.
